Actor/Director

 I've been fortunate to work for over twenty-years in a professional career as an actor and entertainer while using music as a survival job between contracts. I have a BFA in Musical Theatre and a Master's Degree in Arts Administration. For the majority of my theatre career I have specialized in shows that feature actors who are also the orchestra; what some of us affectionately call 'Guitar Theatre'. With over 60 shows on my full resumé, most of which are in this niche, I  consider myself an expert at this unique blend of story-telling and musicianship. 

As a director, I have focused exclusively on shows that feature actor-musicians. Often times I serve as the music director as well as the director (and sometimes scenic designer!). I use a blend of knowledge from theatre, art, and music backgrounds to craft tone, tempo, texture, and timing. As an avid reader and lover of language, I am an excellent communicator. I love speaking to actors, designers, stage managers, and stage crew and pride myself on the ability to find a persons specific  communication needs to better streamline work flow. Above all I enjoy making hard work feel fun!
